Projective techniques in Anime and Japanese Games

First of all, Special thanks to @JimmyHitsu and my girlfriend who helped to do this mini-research :D

Ever since I worked as a marketing researcher, I tend to look something in detail.. even though I'm not a very detailed person (hahaha). I've noticed something similar from Anime and my daily life as a marketing researcher, which is Projective Techniques

Projective technique is usually used in qualitative marketing research during the discussion or interview with the respondents. The purpose of this technique is to get the more clear idea of something abstract during the discussion. Sometimes it’s hard for some people to describe what they feel about something. That is why the moderator used this projective techniques to get the better idea what the person actually meant. For example, a person can’t describe how he associate with the two similar product category but different brand.

So let’s compare between samsung and apple, Oh I forgot that there are so many kinds of projective techniques for this. They used imagination of a certain fictional world to describe it. We used this question for example. “if Apple was a world, what kind of world would it be?” and the respondent will answer “It would be filled with hipsters, many high tech building” for example. The other technique is the personification technique. For example “If samsung was a person, what would he be like? What would s/he wear and what'd s/he say?
and the respondent will answer “the person looks high class but humble, can befriended with everyone. he wears a suit and he'd say "I will help you in every situation" '
You got the idea? Good!

*I read through up to this point and it sounded like some kind of thesis* lol

So I can't help but noticing that projective technique is a common practice in marketing research and also anime or Japanese games. There's a ton of anime or game from japan that used this techniques to sell stuffs. Let's take a look at the two most popular free-to-play browser game from Japan these days. Kantai Collection and Touken Ranbu

Kantai Collection (KanColle) is a game which lets you become the admiral or Teitoku in Japanese to take care of the Kantai Musume (KanMusu) or the Ship Girls. Maybe you are asking why a battleship is personified as a girl? That's because a ship is referred as girl in real life, that's why they called it "Mothership". Since mother is a female (thanks captain obvious), hence it is personified as a girl. Every girls in this game is a Personified Battle ship. Most of them are Japanese battle ship that is used during the World War II. The purpose of this game is... well you collect ship girls by battling throughout the maps. Every ship girls has their own class, ship type, and more importantly, Personality! They have their own personality and characters, even some class have their own uniform
Shiratsuyu-Class Poi!

Since there's a lot of girls and ships here, I've decided to cover one ship girl that interests me the most, Akebono! *actually I liked Kongou's Design, but Akebono is easier to cover  for this blog XP
.
Nani wo SURUNDA!! *eh*

I'm very interested with Akebono's personality and character story, she hates admiral which she always refer as "Kuso Teitoku!" or "Shitty Admiral!"
I was like. whoa! why'd you say that? What happened? I've read the KanColle Wiki and got the answer why, she has an interesting story
The following are the quote that I take from KanColle Wiki

"Akebono doesn't really stand out favorably in history. Unlike her sister Ushio, Akebono is taken as the 'ship of misfortune,' while Ushio is the 'ship of fortune' "

She was portrayed as a ship who brings misfortune, so that's why she is so grumpy about it. Can you imagine yourself if you are misfortune bringer in your family? I bet that'd be harsh

So let's take a look at the battle history which actually happens in real life

January 1944 Escort
Akebono & her sister Sazanami were escorting a fleet of supply ships. Enroute, Sazanami was attacked by USS Albacore (SS-218) & sank on the spot. Akebono launched 59 deep charges & drove it away; however, the delayed rendezvous with the supply fleet left it with no protection. As such, it was virtually annihilated.

This is reflected in her Library Intro, ....But, I'm a bit uneasy around subs...., as she not only lost her sister to them, but failed as an escort.

Manila Air Raids
The Americans were determined to finish off Nachi. At that time, Akebono was ported with Nachi & was the only ship able to immediately defend. Unfortunately, while facing innumerable aircraft, Nachi sustained several heavy hits & sank.

Naturally, Akebono was heavily damaged as well & Ushio towed her into the dock for repairs. However a week later, the American launched another air strike. Akebono's cannons, engines, & torpedoes were all but destroyed. She sank while being observed by Ushio nearby.

If Akebono & Ushio hadn't switched back then, her fate may have been different. However Akebono doesn't blame Ushio for all of this - she is more angry at her superiors, who blamed her inappropriately & overlooked the circumstances at the time. That's why she insists on 'Kuso Teitoku' - she has a profound distrust of superiors.

I love it when the game developers put so much effort in character's detail from what she wears, what she said, and her personality is.

I really want to cover Yuudachi, but I don't understand why'd she say "Poi!"
Because Poi! That's why!
EDIT:
I finally found in the kancolle wikia why she said poi,
"poi in Japanese means "maybe", "perhaps" or "seems like", it's something you throw in the end of the sentence if you aren't too sure of the result and end up concluding the sentence by guessing. The main reason behind Yuudachi's speech pattern is because no one actually had a clear record of what she actually accomplished in the Guadalcanal Campaign. It was technically a huge mess during the fight and no one actually knew what was happening. Even though Yuudachi did wreak havoc in the battle, there are other ships who also claimed the kills. Since her battle records were unclear and involved a lot of guess work from naval historians from both sides after the war, the game version of Yuudachi landed with the "poi" catchphrase just to reflect that little piece of history. (You can see from her introduction line that she wasn't so sure of her battle result in Guadalcanal either.)"

Touken Ranbu : Tourabu is similar to KanColle but instead of ship girls, they used sword boys.
Why sword is portrayed as a man? well............'

Because men used sword to fight in the past *yeah, that must be it.. not a p***s okay?!*

I'm interested with one of the sword boys character which I witnessed by myself when my girlfriend playing this.
it's Mikazuki Munechika!
He does look like Nobuchika Ginoza from Psycho Pass somehow

Mikazuki Munechika is one of the legendary sword in Japan, It's a sword made in the year 989, *whoa that's like 1000 years ++*
Made by Sanjo Munechika who lived during the Heian period (794-1185), He gave his name to the sword and the word Mikazuki comes from the sword design that looks like a mikazuki or crescent moon. The name Mikazuki is also given to the Japanese destroyer battleship in honor to this legendary sword

It does look like a crescent moon, you can see this in Tokyo National Museum

So how does Mikazuki Munechika portayed in the game? well.. You can notice the crescent in his clothes. He does sound like an old man, and everybody in the game refer him as Jiji or Grandpa in Japanese since he is an old sword. And because he is old, he is contained in the museum and remained untouched there. You know, old stuff are sensitive and might be broken. That's why when you clicked this guy he would say "Hmm, skinship to yuu yatsu ka?" or in English "Is this what you called skinship?"
*when I heard this for the first time, I lol'ed so hard wih my girlfriend" XD

Now we look at the anime called Hetalia, it's an anime about a personified nation. I enjoyed watching this because it portrays the interaction between the nation in a comical way. Most of the nation are personified into a man. And the personified nation that I'm interested in is of course America!
No! Not this guy! Even though he'd be perfect to be a personified America too lol
This guy

At the first season, he is portrayed as a little kid and is taken care by England, but later on he become bigger and taller than England. His personality, well, so America *duh*. At World War II, He made the Allied Force against Japan, Germany, and Italia. And at the council meeting he'd be like
"He guys! All of you! You have to support me!"
"So what'd you do?"
"I'll be the hero of course!"
*Dang it America! XD

He loves to order around and most importantly, He don't want to be at loss
For example
"Hey America I need your help!"
"Okay, If I helped you, what do I get in return?"

I'd recommend this anime if you are majoring in International Relationship, it's very educational and entertaining at the same time! XD

That's all I have to say, I think we Indonesian should learn from them because it communicates the brand or product in effective and entertaining way, I found this fan art of idolized indomie, It's Brilliant I must say! XD
Go check out Valoreins, He got cool stuff there! XD

Why I avoid some genre in Anime?

Credits to Gigguk

This entry is purely my opinion on a certain genre of anime and please remember that opinion does not equal as fact. Opinion is not about right or wrong but my opinion can be the same with your opinion and vice versa. I'm not forcing my opinion to my readers. And please note that a certain anime genre is not made for everyone because we humans have their own personal preferences. So keep that in mind before reading this :D

Last week I promised that I’m going to explain why I avoid some specific genre of anime nowadays. Lately anime is starting to feel saturated. A lot of anime nowadays is just ecchi or harem or slice of life genre. I know that sex sells.. But how can I convince others that anime is good if it looks like a legit porn? It’s not like that I hate fanservice (baka! >///<). I like seeing them! I’m a grown ass man!  But isn’t there any other better way to attract us as consumer to watch anime?

Personally, I slowly agreed with Hayao Miyazaki’s rant about “Anime industry is filled with otaku”. Just look at last season’s Danmachi for example. It’s like an anime inspired from otaku’s wet dream. It was like
*Otaku wakes up from his wet dream*
“I JUST HAD THE BEST WET DREAM EVER!”
*writes down the wet dream that he just had*
*post it on blog*
*make manga/light novel out of it*
*anime producer sees it*
*makes anime adaptation on it*
*Profit*

Seriously tho, that Hestia’s boob string is filling every pixiv and other image boards in the internet. Why everybody is attracted to that string attached to her boobs? Personally I like my woman with no strings attached (there you go, a stripper joke)
I've waited for a perfect time to put that joke here seriously....

So, back to the topic! I avoid harem genre because I know that the ultimate winner that the main male protagonist will choose is only one.
Not the main heroine
Not the osananajimi (childhood friend)
Not the other harem candidate than randomly shows up in the middle of the season
Not the twintailed pettan tsundere
Not the kuudere
Not the Yandere
The one that the harem male protagonist usually choose is
VIRGINITY!
I CHOOSE NOT TO CHOOSE ANY OF THESE GIRLS BECAUSE I AM TOO STUPID TO CHOOSE OR TOO DENSE TO AWARE OF IT! GODDAMMIT!
It’s usually goes the same way.. well not all of it. But like 98% of harem genre usually ends up that way.

Because it’s always end up the same way, why would I watch that? Except there’s a twist in the series or unique selling point like Noucome that offers a super hilarious anime. Seriously, it’s just hilarious, even though it’s not worth rewatching for me haha

I usually avoid moeshit anime. Well I used to like this kind of stuff, I watched Kiniro Mosaic, GochiUsa, and other moeshit. It’s just cute girls doing cute things. Yeah I know you are adorable and cute, yeah we get it. But again, I will watch it if there’s an unique selling point like Non Non Biyori. Non Non Biyori is just different. Their setting is in the countryside of Japan which is rarely exposed in anime, *well there’s Barakamon and many others actually*. Yeah they are cute girls doing cute things, but they are doing it the countryside ways, which is unique compared to typical generic slice of life in the town. Besides the soundtrack of Non Non Biyori is soooooo damn relaxing.. I think the birth of moeshit genre is because of K-On. Yeah they execute it nicely. Maybe if I watch it now (not during my college days) I wouldn't watch this anime because THEY DID NOTHING BUT DRINK TEA AND EAT DELICIOUS CAKE!

The sense of progress is also the reason why I avoid watching slice of life genre nowadays. THERE’S NO SENSE OF PROGRESS IN SLICE OF LIFE ANIME! It’s just circling around without achieving something. It feels stagnant and boring. But again if there’s something unique of it I will watch it. Notable example is Danshi Kokosei no Nichijou. This anime is just too damn hilarious and there’s a lot of relatable stories for me. Besides there’s Sugita Tomokazu, my favorite seiyuu (Voice Actor). The other slice of life anime is Azumanga Daioh, I can relate a lot to that anime and it’s just sooo heart warming watching it. And as for manga, I really love Yotsuba&! which is created by the same person, Kiyohiko Azuma

I also tend to avoid teenage love story... there are two reasons why, first of all I'm not a teenager anymore *well duh!*
Secondly, well, teenagers nowadays have different problems with teenagers back in my days and that made me hard to relate on problems that they had in the anime these days. And sometimes the story is just too stretch out because of the emotionally unstable teenager. They don't know what they do or what they want. Damn it teenagers! GET A GRIP! Seriously though, every time I watched this kind of anime, I was like Murtaugh from Lethal Weapon

But again, if there's something unique from the genre I'd watch it. Take this season's Ore Monogatari! for example. It offers something different that other teenager love story don't have. The main protagonist Gouda Takeo is an epic big guy and not the ikemen type of guy and he is in love with a girl named Yamato, who obviously is in love with him but he didn't realize it because he is just too dense lol. But they finally end up together. I really enjoyed watching that series because I myself has a big body like him... but less muscular lol. If I was still single and watching this anime, it would give me hope to have a girlfriend who will love me the way I am hahaha
Thankfully I already have girlfriend and she accepted the way I am now. So don't give up on hope guys!

Lastly, I tend to avoid the shameless promotion anime, or in other words, anime that sells products in their anime or to put simply, Anime that promotes toys like Beyblade, Let's & Go, Yu-Gi-Oh!, Vanguard, and so on.
It's just like a shameless product placement and sometimes the story just don't make any sense.

"but this is an anime, why it have to make sense!?"
It has to make sense, anime is more enjoyable if it is consistent with its own logic (Like JoJo's Bizzare Adventure for example lol). The last anime with this genre that I watched is Gundam Build Fighters TRY. It was a fun show, and I loved Gundam series. But, it wasn't consistent about its concept. And there's a lot of cheesy line in this anime.. It feels like watching UtaPri, One of the best cheesy line in GBFT that I remembered is:

"Please stop this battle, I don't want to make your Gunpla cry"

First of all, it's just a toy, it won't cry
secondly, YOU ARE IN A GUNPLA FIGHTING TOURNAMENT! WHAT DO YOU EXPECT!? YOU HAVE TO BEAT YOUR OPPONENT IF YOU WANT TO WIN!
*sigh*
Can you imagine if you are in a fighting game tournament and someone says that? For example it's a Street Fighter game tournament.
"Stop this battle! I don't want to make your Ryu cry"
seriously... =__=

Well that’s just my personal opinion guys, I loved anime in general, but since I don't have so much spare time to watch it again, I became a picky person when I want to watch it. Why waste my time on something that is not worth watching for me? If you don’t agree with me, that’s all right. Everybody has their personal taste amirite? Thanks for reading!

Hibike! Euphonium! Anime Review

First of all, this is a non-spoiler review, so don’t worry about getting spoiled before watching it. :D
Secondly, my kind of review is actually serious, but I tend to forgot what’s actually happening in the anime. So I will use a little bit of impression that I got from a certain scene on the anime XP

My first impression with Hibike! Euphonium was that this anime is going to be a jazz musical anime. I got the impression from the PV which introduces us with the main characters with jazz song as the BGM which reminds me a lot to Guns n’ Roses from Baccano!’s Opening. Just listen!

The other first impression is that this anime will be like K-On! Which is an anime about cute girls doing cute things which I fed up with these days lol

But Man, I was totally wrong. This anime is all about wind ensemble, just like Nodame Cantabile! And the story focuses on how they struggle to get into national competition. This anime is animated by Kyoto Animation or KyoAni for short. So here goes my anime review on Hibike! Euphonium!

Story
Personally, I’m a story oriented kind of guy and if the story is engaging for me I will say the anime is good. The story opens up with Kumiko in the junior high school with her yuri friend Pepe Reina waiting in the hall with other people. And it was revealed that they are waiting for results of competition and apparently they didn’t make it, and Kumiko was like
“oh we got the silver prize, that’s okay”
and pepe Reina was like
“NO! THAT’S NOT ENOUGH! I FEEL BAD! AND YOU SHOULD FEEL BAD TOO!”
*best summary ever*

Moving on, Kumiko finally get into Kitauji High School and she was like a grumpy girl that critizes everything about anything related to wind ensemble. She was like

*looking a guy who plays trumpet from afar*

“That guy sure sucks”

*sees a group playing some kind of music using various instruments*

“That band sucks”

Man she sounds like Beavis and Butthead (old reference is old)

And she met new friends named Emerald Saphire and Hazuki. Saphire or Midori as she wants to be called is a shy cute kind of girl and Hazuki is a genki type. The three of them are still confused which club they want to enter. And finally (yes you guessed it) they joined Kitauji’s Wind Ensemble Club. And Kumiko shocked that apparently her love of her life  Reina is entering the same school as she is and she entered the same club as well!
Coincidence? I THINK NOT!

They have a new club supervisor named Taki-sensei, a cold-handed person. The first time he come to the club was like

“Hi, I’m your new supervisor, what do you want to do with this club?”

“We want to go to the national competition!”
“Okay let me hear you guys play”

*plays*

*he smiles* “Okay, What the hell was that? If you want to go to national it will take more than this”

Yes he is that kind of guy, and I like his character.

And after that Taki-Sensei gives them tough exercises to make them a better player.
Will they succeed to go the national competition??

Characters

The story focuses on the 4 main girls, Kumiko, Hazuki, Midori, and Pepe Reina
I like all of their character development,
Kumiko from a grumpy young girl into a girl who finally ambitious to get it on with Reina be a better player

Hazuki who never played tuba before and she is struggling to get better

Midori who loves Contrabass and playing it like a baws despite of her small body
Much Quality, Such Animation, Wow

And Reina, who is so smug at first, and become a little bit humble person. But just... a little. Personally I don’t really like a character who is good at something and being so smug about it lol. She was like, "I WANT TO BE SPECIAL! OH YOU WANT TO BE SPECIAL TOO?! THEN I WILL BE MORE SPECIAL THAN YOU!" yeah. I don't like her attitude

But my main focus is Taki-Sensei. He is the guy who leads the club into the competition with his own ways. And I like his personality, He might seem calm and put a smile on his face all the time, but he is actually a very strict and nurturing person at the same time.

Best girl of the season!

The other character that I like from is Asuka. Well besides her character designs appeals me the most *megane girl ftw, wehehe*, she has nice personality as well. She actually can be the president of the club but she refuse it. But she leads a lot in the club. But she doesn’t really care about other personal’s issue *which I can really relate a lot when it comes to acquaintances lol*

I also like Haruka’s development. She is the president of the club and at first she was depending too much on Asuka. And Asuka was like, “Come on, your the president of the club! Get a grip!” and in the end, she became a capable leader.

Animation & Sound
Well, it’s KyoAni we are talking here guys, everything looks beautiful and detail in this anime. And the BGM is quite relaxing because it’s classical and it sets the mood right in the anime. The opening sequence reminds me a lot to K-On's Opening but the song itself is giving the energy of the anime
I really like the Reff Part

While the ending song is Tutti! I dunno why the ED song sequence is sooo KyoAni lol. Having the main girls singing the song in the end. But I like the song, it's so catchy!

Personal Enjoyment
I enjoyed watching this anime because it has engaging story, characters that I cared about, awesome animation, and more over the quality is consistent through out the series. The jokes are delivered in a good way. The pacing is consistent even thought there's some subplots that I thought it can be skipped. And the ending was quite fulfilling for me though but I want to see them more in the next season or movie. Please make it KyoAni!

Problems that I have with this anime
Well, even though I enjoyed this anime, I also have problems that kinda bugs me throughout the series :

1) The suggestive yuuri scene : Well maybe this is to redeem make up for male audiences for what KyoAni have done in 2 seasons of Free! which pleases the female audiences. So instead of guys on guys, it’s girls on girls now! It's not like I hate this.. But I don't like a cock tease like this lol
Now kiss! SERIOUSLY!

2) Dramatic Subplots : The subplots are kind of filling in for fulfilling 13 episodes quota. I don’t really like the subplots because it feels a little bit unnecessary and skip-able. I won’t spoil it for you but it is kataomoi (one-sided love) and NOTICE ME SENPAI! problem
PLEASE NOTICE ME SENPAI!

Should you watch it or not?
I’d totally recommend this anime if you are into classical music or musical anime or if you liked a story about struggling to achieve something.

Suggestions
If you are interested in other musical genre anime, you can watch Nodame Cantabile which has the same theme with Hibike! I really enjoyed watching Nodame Cantabile, I even watched the dorama too

My Anime Journey (How I get into anime stuff)

I’ve watched anime since I was a kid. And back then I just watched Dragon Ball, Doraemon, Gundam, Patlabor,Saint Seiya, and many more. But back then I just watched from local TV station and of course it was dubbed locally and honestly our local dub (Indonesian dub) wasn’t that bad back then. It is a whole different story now. I watched a local dubbed Uchuu Kyodai with my girlfriend not a long time ago, and it was sooooooo awkward. Yeah.. our local dub isn’t that great now.

Anyway, finally I got into Junior High School, back then Naruto and One Piece is the top 2 anime/manga. It was so damn popular. They are still on going, up until now.. (god I’m old). Naruto is finished they said, but it seems that the mangaka hardly move on from his so called “masterpiece”(BWAHAHAHAH). Yeah I read that a lot back then and considered it as the best anime/manga ever (pfft yeah, shitty taste is shitty). At that time, I finally introduced by my friends that anime is actually from Japan. (I was a stupid little brat back then, ok?) and my friend lent me his dvd collection.

That was the first time that I know that Anime was originally dubbed by japanese. And I began to like it even more than the local dub (seriously tho). The first original japanese dubbed dvd that my friend introduced me was Full Metal Panic Fumoffu! Our local TV shows us Full Metal Panic back then with local dub of course. The expression was delivered even better compared with the local dub (well duh!). At that stage, I started to buy dvd anime and crave for more anime. But I have no financial power back then so I keep borrowing dvd anime from my friend lol

So I watched Full Metal Alchemist in DVD. Borrowing it from my friend. Totally loved it! Even though the ending was disappointing for me. Thank god they reboot it and stick to the original manga with Full Metal Alchemist Brotherhood and became my all time favorite anime series. That time was the golden era of anime for me. Evangelion, Full Metal Alchemist, and much much more anime at that time!

I also started to develop interest in japanese language since I was elementary school. It was because I played a lot of japanese game back then and kinda curious about it. I was like “What does this random scribble mean?”. I learned it by myself with a lot of “sotoy”-ness. And I learned it backwards. I should have learned the hiragana first. But instead I learned katakana first. And back then anime subber was very helpful compared to subber nowadays. They translate the lyrics with romaji lyrics and showed the original japanese lyrics as well. Subber nowadays just translate the lyrics and romaji and sometimes just the translated lyrics. I learned Japanese from anime opening and ending. Yeah you heard me right. That’s how I can read japanese *but just hiragana and katakana, kanji not that much TvT*

Anyway, finally we got to high school period. I still borrowed some of my friend’s dvd to watch anime but not that often. I only remembered that I only watched “BECK” back then (bad dum tss). And I started to develop interest in seinen manga. And I was introduced with 20th Century Boys and I read that. Dat manga is my all time favorite manga seriously. If you haven’t read it, just close this blog right now and start reading it!

It’s not popular here unfortunately, I was trying to collect the Indonesian translated manga but it’s so rare now. T_T

So I started to go to college. At first I still borrowed anime dvd from my friend. It was Code Geass. But finally I was introduced to something even better
FREAKING INTERNET!

I have no internet connection at my home back then. I usually go to warnet to play some online games. But finally I am connected to the internet when I started my college life.
One of my friend was like. “Welcome to the civilization, dude!”
Err thanks I guess hahahaha

So I finally now that I can stream anime! And I am so happy about that! FINALLY! I DON’T HAVE TO BUY DVD AGAIN! (err.. I mean borrow it from my friend)
The problem that I have *which I have until now* is the slow connection. And if I have stream it, it will take a long, long long time to actually finish 1 eps.

I started to watch a lot of anime. That is the time when I also read manga online. I watched Fate/Stay Night, Nodame Cantabile, Great Teacher Onizuka, and many more!

And now we can just download it.... I know it is a piracy and won’t be good for the anime producers. That’s why I usually buy the official translated manga to support the creator. That’s the way how I appreciate them for entertaining me with their brilliant ideas and engaging story. The least I can do to support them TvT. One of my friend goes even further, he bought the original blue ray dvd. I’d totally buy it if it is being sold here. With proper English subs of course.

And finally we arrived to the present time, I’m working full-time job now. Back then I have a lot of time to watch anime. But now I rarely have the time for it. I usually watch anime on weekends with my girlfriend. That is one of the reason why I am so picky about anime lately because I have less time available for enjoying anime. And I want to fill that little time that I have with some good anime and not with the shitty ones. That is why I usually avoid harem or slice of life (with several exception like non non biyori which is good) anime. Maybe I will post why I avoid it next week XP.

First Impression of Summer Anime 2015

As a person who works in the marketing research, I learned that first impression is very important if we want to meet someone or engage with something. Within the first 10 seconds, it will leave the crucial impressions or thoughts that will stick for a long time in your head. Unless that first 10 seconds didn’t leave any special impressions or normal for them.

So, what I’m going to say is, I want to make this special segment called “first impression of (season) anime” in this blog for every season. This first impressions comes from the title, synopsis, genre, the person who works behind the anime, and also the artwork of the anime as well.
.
My first impressions with your first impressions will be different since every human have different ways of thinking. So if you don’t like my first impression of a certain anime which is your favorite anime, just deal with it! And note that I haven’t watched all of these anime, only some of them. So, without further a due.. let’s dive into it! XD

Chaos Dragon : I heard urobuchi take part on this anime, so, maybe I’ll watch it and hopefully this anime won’t sell out his name just like *cough* birdnoah.zero

Okusama ga seitokaicho, wakaba girl,Danchigai, Joukamuchi no dandelion, Himouto! umaru-chan : I had enough with slice of life anime and moeshit, skip!

Non Non Biyori Repeat : HOLY CRAP! NYANPASUUUUUUUUUUU! wat? I just said “I had enough with slice of life anime and moeshit” you said? AM I CONFLICTING MYSELF!? BUT RENCHON IS JUST TOO ADORABLE! THIS ANIME IS BEST WATCHED BEFORE YOU GO TO SLEEP! IT’S SO RELAXING AND HEARTWARMING OKAY?! DON’T JUDGE ME!

To-Love-Ru Darkness : God of light is working so ”hard” again I guess, lololol! Did you see what I just did? Did you see that? Got it? Forget it

God Eater : I played this game on PSP, and the story was engaging for me (even though I haven’t finished it lol). And Ufotable is in charge making this game into anime. I’m expecting great things from you! Don’t let me down like Unlimited Baka Works, Ufotable!

Monster musume no nichijou : I’m sorry, I’m a monster hunter, not a monster f*cker, or monster f*pper *drops mic* *walks away slowly from the stage* *wear shades* *stage explodes*

Fate/Kaleid liner zwei herz : I dropped this at the zwei.. I can’t stand watching it... I’m sorry, I feel so sinned watching this.... two lolis making out and become the fanservice material is just too much for me.. I can’t...

Working!!! : Apparently, the more season they get, the more exclamation mark they have. I’m currently catching up this series with my girlfriend. Or you can say.... we still working on it! *stop with the lame puns seriously*

Dragon Ball Super : I watched the first eps, it was nostalgic for me. Except there’s a alien-Egyptian-cat-that-is-so-overpowered-that-suddenly-introduced-as-Gordon-Ramsay-and-destroys-half-of-the-planet-because-that-food-is-too-greasy

Idolm@ster Cinderella Girls 2nd cour : I haven’t finished the first cour yet.. but I have the impression that the story won’t be as good as “The Idolm@ster”... Amami Haruka FTW

Ranpo Kitan Game of laplace : horor, mystery? Count me in!

Durararax2 Ten : I’m so saving up this anime for marathon. That’s how I enjoyed durarara!

Gate : from the synopsis, I’m interested to give it a try

Gangsta : I watched the first episode and it was dayummmmmmmmm, it’s definitely a seinen series that I will love! The edgy theme, gangster, corrupt police, drugs, prostitution, This anime is not for kids obviously. (you don't say!) And finally there’s a badass character named Nicolas and he is so cool for me unlike the other Nico who’s trying too hard to be cute and annoying. *Nico fans raeg incoming*
I'm sorry guys, I'm just kidding, Nico is cute... but Nozomi is the best girl

Ushio to Tora : I heard about this manga for a long time.. but I never have the chance to read it.. and I heard it is good. So I’ll try watching it

Gatchaman Crowds Insight : I watched Gatchaman because I’m hooked with the OST. My friend showed me the “Gatchaman – in the name of love” theme song and I’m hooked with that song. It’s so catchy! So I watched it, and I looooove the concept and the idea of it! I watched the 0 episode and the first episode. It’s good to see the Gatchaman kicking ass again! BIRD GO!

Charlotte : Another PA works anime, One of my favorite studio besides Kyoto Animation. This studio usually never let me down. I love Shirobako, Nagi no Asukara, Hanasaku Iroha, Angel Beats and many more! I love all of their anime! Well except for Glasslip (what the f*ck was that seriously). And the genre is mystery and supernatural. I watched the first episode this and thought that, Man this guy looks like Lelouch. I have the vibe that this anime will be like Angel Beats somehow.. And the concept is interesting for having supernatural powers just for a definite period which is teenagers phase. I hope this anime won’t suck....

Shimoneta to Iu Gainen ga Sonzai Shinai Taikutsu na Sekai : 1st impression? THE TITLE IS TOO DAMN LONG! 2nd impression, the synopsis is about anime with a lot of dirty jokes, Well I watched Seitokai Yakuindomo, but I dropped it at the second season, because all of those dirty jokes,  I saw it “coming” *see what I did the... ah forget it* So yeah... I think I won’t watch this as well

Kangoku Gakuen : My friend told me this is based on epic manga, but it has a lot of fanservice in it. And there’s Kana Hanazawa in this anime.. so hell yeah I’m going to watch it!
Overlord : An anime based on MMO game? As long as it’s not SAO or picking up girls in dungeon, I’ll give it a try

So yeah, here’s the list of anime that I’d probably watch and definitely watch. Even though I said I won’t watch it, I might still watching it because I’m currently waiting for any suggestions about this year’s summer anime. This is just the first impression that I got from the title, artwork and most importantly first episode that I watch. *why am I almost repeating myself here*

So I’m going to ask you, any anime recommendation to add my watching list? :D
